Prepare to be captivated by the explosive and vivid imagination of Jorge R. Gutiérrez as Coagula and Gallery 945 proudly present his latest solo show, “Son of a Hollywood.” Opening on Friday, October 4th, this exhibition showcases 57 new paintings that delve into the trials and triumphs of a Mexican artist in the frenetic world of Hollywood entertainment.

Presented by Coagula and Gallery 945, “Son of a Hollywood” is an intensely personal yet humorously critical exploration of Hollywood’s cutthroat dynamics, where ambition meets reality. Gutiérrez’s trademark style infuses Mexican folk and pop art into vibrant and poignant scenes, depicting everything from whimsical skeletons to crying luchadores. Curated by Mat Gleason, this exhibition promises a compelling narrative journey, showcasing the emotional spectrum and theatrical drama of an artist navigating the industry’s tempestuous landscape, unconfined by traditional boundaries
